| On Sunday mourning
everyone split up and went to different church services. My
group was chosen to go back to Maili Tano. I woke up feeling
much better than the day before though I still couldn't stop
blowing my nose. When we got there they asked me to
teach a Sunday School lesson for the kids. So with 30
seconds of prep time and a quick prayer for the Holy Spirit to
guide me, I taught about David and Goliath and I also told the
kids how I decided to follow Christ at a very young age.
Then I asked them to sing me a song, and boy did they! It
was a beautiful moment I will never forget. One of the older
girls started the singing just like the adults do. Then all the
kids joined in harmony and sang me two Turkana songs. It
was awesome- a little piece of heaven.
After I got done with Sunday School I went back to "big church". (Which they decided to have in the school house instead of under the tree this time.) Ralph preached and then they asked me to give my testimony. So with 10 seconds to figure out what I was going to say and another quick prayer I did it. Mission work always keeps you on your toes, believe me. It was an honor to be used by God though. It was also a wonderful service and it was awesome to see that the churches we start here will prosper since God is behind them. A year ago this church did not even exist. But God is moving here in a big way. WOW.
