Maili Saba Baptist Church.

Thankfully Maili Saba was only a short ride from Isiolo down a paved road.  Maili Saba means mile seven.  We met in the main town area under an acacia tree to sing and pray.  Then we split up again.  My group started by crossing a little stream of water and then heading out through farmland and plowed fields.  Plenty of rocks, thorns, and dirt to go around.  We had many good conversations with people.  Including one with a Catholic man who was very intelligent.  He asked about how the Baptist church started in America and thankfully Pastor Paul knew the answer to that one.  He also asked me about president Bush and said that he is good at fighting Sadam.  It kind of blew me away that a man in a little hut in Africa knew so much about what was going on in the world.  He may have known/cared more than many Americans do.  (See his house below.) We also encountered a very welcoming family of farmers working in their field.  And another family that were already Christians that asked us to pray for their drunkard neighbors who are causing problems.

We had a church service in the afternoon which seemed to go well.  A few of us did a skit on Adam and Eve and everyone seemed to enjoy it.  We also had a sermon.

Our group goes out and crosses a stream.
This area actually has some water!

This guy asked me about President Bush.

A family that accepted Christ.
They took time from their farming to listen.
